And as a bonus – I’ll also share a tasty pistachio martini drink recipe!
Let’s start!
What Will You Need to Make This Rich Pistachio Martini Mousse Dessert?
This rich pistachio mousse is made with only 6 ingredients, which makes it so easy to make. Here is what you’ll need:
Pistachio Mousse Ingredients
1½ Cups Heavy Whipping Cream (250 ml)
1 Bar Cream Cheese (such as Philadelphia Original)
2/3 Cup Powdered Sugar
½ Cup Raw Pistachio Butter or Paste
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1 pinch sea salt
Pink Crumbles Ingredients
1 Pack pink petit beurre crispy biscuits or any other pink crispy cookies.
For Decoration
Whipped dairy cream – for extra layer (optional)
Blueberries, fresh
Shredded coconut, unsweetened
Pecans, chopped
Pistachios, chopped
How to Make a Delicious Pistachio Martini Dessert?
Follow these steps:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together whipping cream (250 ml) and cream cheese until you get a smooth mixture.
- Add powdered sugar, pistachio paste, vanilla extract, sea salt, and whisk together until you get a nice and smooth mass.
3. Once your pistachio mousse is ready, put it in the fridge to cool it down.
4. Meanwhile, to make the pink crumbles put the pink biscuits in a separate bowl and crush them with the bottom of a clean glass.
5. To assemble your pistachio martini dessert, arrange all the ingredients in small bowls, next to the martini glass.
6. To make the layers, I used pink crumbles, pistachios, whipped cream, and pistachio mousse.
I started with pistachios and pink crumbles as my first layer at the bottom of the martini glass.
Then, I added pistachio mousse as the second layer.
The third layer was the whipped cream, and the fourth layer was another layer of the pistachio mousse.
You can rearrange the layers as you like, just make sure to add the pistachio mousse as the last top layer if you want to decorate it as in the picture.
7. Now, flatten the top layer of the mousse with a knife.
8. For the topping, start with a row of blueberries in the middle of the dessert. Then, start adding extra rows from both sides by using the pink crumbles, chopped pecans, shredded coconut, and chopped pistachios.
Bon appetite!
Recipe Substitutes
There are a few ways to make the pistachio martini. You can switch a few ingredients and adjust this recipe to your taste. One thing you can do to make it healthier is to prepare it with no added sugar. Here is what you can use instead:
Organic Stevia Sweetener – if you want a sugar-free mousse, you can substitute the powdered sugar with a ½ cup of stevia sweetener such as Pyure Organic Stevia Sweetener Blend.
How To Store a Pistachio Martini Dessert?
While it is not recommended to store a whole pistachio martini dessert in the fridge, you can keep all its ingredients separately (pistachio mousse and whipped cream in the fridge and the rest at room temperature), and assemble it before serving. This way the crumbles will stay fresh and crispy, and so as the rest of the decorations. Another option is to assemble only the base of this dessert, and put it in the freezer, and add the topping later, right before serving. To do this, you may want to use a different types of glasses that can be frozen.
