Best baby strollers
As a mother of two, I have learned quickly the importance of having a good and high quality stroller. There is no doubt that there are so many useful strollers and therefore it makes it so hard to choose the best one for you.
There are a few criteria that you need to consider when looking for a stroller.
Budget
You start off by determining your budget and looking at what options fall within your price range, although down payments and loan interest rates are issues you do not have to contend with in the case of stroller acquisition.
Strollers typically run $50-$300 for traditional strollers, all-terrain strollers generally run $130-$300, and high-end strollers can cost more than $700.
There are a variety of stroller prices, decide what is your targeted price range and plan your budget before you start looking for the stroller.
Age
At every age, your child’s needs change. Finding the right stroller that will grow with your baby can often mean saving hundreds of dollars on multiple strollers.
If the stroller reclines fully, it is safe for a newborn. Most strollers do not fully recline or have suspension features, in such case, it is best to wait until baby is at least 4 to 6 months old before using.
Height
Most strollers have a handle height that falls somewhere between 34 and 45 inches tall. However, strollers for taller parents can often be up to nearly 50 inches high. Tall strollers for tall parents can help prevent slouching. You should adjust the stroller to your height to feel more comfortable and avoid back pains.
Purpose
Do you plan on using one stroller for all of your needs or buying an all-purpose stroller then adding on a travel or jogging stroller as your little one grows? Your stroller should meet the needs of your family lifestyle.
Complexity
You want your stroller to be as simple and straightforward as possible (babies are complicated enough!). Therefore, you need to make sure that the stroller is easy to use. Check out what are the steps to fold the stroller, how the car seat attaches to the stroller, and how many straps or an adapter involved.
Here are six basic types of strollers:
Full-sized stroller
A full-size stroller can weigh anywhere from 16 to 35 pounds (that’s much heavier than portable stroller models). Full-size strollers are meant to keep your baby safely snug from day 1, hold all the stuff you’ll need while you’re out and sometimes even attach to your infant car seat to easily transition from car to stroller. In other words, they do it all.
Double or triple stroller
A double or a triple stroller is good for twins and for children close in age, such as infant and toddler. Double strollers and triple strollers come in two seating designs: tandem (one seat in front of the other) or side-by-side.
Umbrella stroller
Umbrella strollers are a pared-down version of a traditional stroller and can weigh as little as 6 pounds. They are made to be easy to carry around — some even have a shoulder strap for that very purpose. What’s more, they fold down to be about the size of a — you guessed it — umbrella.
Lightweight stroller
A lightweight stroller strikes a balance between traditional and umbrella stroller styles. It’s lighter than the standard stroller, easy to fold and compact in size when collapsed. Many parents find that a lightweight stroller can work just as well as a full-size stroller for everyday use, but without the bulkiness. A very known lightweight stroller is Yoyo.
Jogging stroller
Jogging strollers are usually fitted with three, air-filled wheels. Unlike a regular stroller, the front wheel of a jogging stroller is lockable to improve the vehicle’s stability and maneuverability. If you want a stroller you can push while running, a jogging stroller is what you need.
Stroller and Car Seat Combos
Not all strollers are compatible with all car seats. If you’re shopping for a car seat, it’s a good idea to shop for both seat and stroller at the same time.
Travel systems
A travel system is a type of pushchair that is compatible with a rear-facing car seat and usually a carrycot. The car seat and carrycot can both click in and out of the pushchair (usually with the help of adaptors on the car seat), which is handy when you have a sleeping baby who you don’t want to wake.
In this article I’ll go over the top strollers available on the market – hopefully it will help you decide which stroller is the best choice for you.
Stroller reviews
Bugaboo stroller review
Since they started back in 1999, Bugaboo has been at the forefront of stroller innovation. Bugaboo is the premium-priced stroller brand and their strollers come with the well-known reputation of being a high-end stroller brand.
During the last few years, bugaboo started to diversify its strollers and try to reach a wider range of parents all over the world.
Sales rocketed when the Bugaboo was featured in Sex and the City, and the brand is now trusted by more than a million mums and dads worldwide.
The current Bugaboo stroller models included on the market right now include the Bugaboo Cameleon 3 plus, Bugaboo Bee 5, Bugaboo Fox, Bugaboo Donkey 2 Mono, Bugaboo Donkey 2 Duo, Bugaboo Donkey 2 Twin, Bugaboo Ant, and the Bugaboo Runner.
The most popular models are Bugaboo Cameleon 3 plus and Bugaboo Bee5.
Bugaboo Bee 5 Review
Bogaboo Bee5 is the cheapest Bugaboo around. Although “cheap” is relative.
It is suitable from birth, has a reversible seat, and it is a car seat compatible.
Its weight is 18.8 lbs and its folded dimensions are 35.4″ x 18.3″ x 12.6″.
There are more than 700 color combinations, although if you start playing with the options list you can easily make the price go up.
It’s a very lightweight city stroller – maybe even a little too light for more challenging terrain, although it’s very comfortable and easy to use on public transport and in busy streets.
Bugaboo Cameleon 3 Plus Review
Bugaboo has made a series of improvements to the Cameleon over the years. The most current version of the Cameleon is the 3 Plus. Improvements include an easier fold (with one-hand!), larger storage basket with lid, quick release front wheels, improved brake and new mosquito net accessory.
The Bugaboo Cameleon 3 Plus is designed to help busy moms meet the challenges of modern life. It adapts effortlessly to smooth or rough terrain simply by switching between small or big wheels in front, can be used comfortably from birth and is easily configurable to suit your needs.
Just like the Bugaboo Bee5, Cameleon 3 Plus has a reversible seat and it is a car seat compatible.
Its weight is 21.2 lbs and its folded dimensions are 35.4″ x 23.6″ x 12″.
The Cameleon 3 Plus is pretty expensive, but considering its clever and stylish design with a huge range of personalization options, it’s easy to see why it is Bugaboo’s best selling stroller.

Maxi Cosi has been in the business for more than 35 years, as they started their company back in 1984. This is a global brand that is known for manufacturing baby strollers, car seats and more related accessories.

Maxi Cosi range of strollers covers every lifestyle; from traveling to jogging, you can always find a stroller that fits.
Maxi-Cosi Zelia Review
The Zelia is a brand new 2-in-1 compact urban stroller. It includes a bassinet and a seat and it comes with everything you might need to complement family urban living in the box, including car seat adapters and raincover.
It is clear that the Zelia is on a mission to provide parents with a fuss-free urban travel solution.
Its weight is 21.2 lbs and its folded dimensions are 29.5″ x 25.1″ x 14.1″.
It is suitable from birth to 3.5 years.
Maxi-Cosi Zelia offers parents and baby everything they need from birth without the need to store and buy an additional bassinet. This product is a good value for money as you are not charged extra for the bassinet as you are with some other brands.
Maxi-Cosi Adorra Review
Adorra is one of the latest additions to the growing Maxi-Cosi family. It is a travel system that weights 25.6 lbs, and is suitable from birth to 33 lbs. Its folded dimensions are 32.6″ x 25.9″ x 17.3″.
The installation instructions are very easy and clear. It looks really modern, stylish and is really high quality.
One of the best features of this particular stroller is its ability to move from a newborn, rear-facing pram with a head stability cushion, into an upright, forward-facing buggy for toddlers and small children. For older toddlers, this enables them to sit tall and see the road ahead.
Silver Cross stroller review
The Silver Cross name is synonymous with luxury and style.
The current Silver Cross stroller models included on the market right now include the Silver Cross Jet, Silver Cross Reflex, Silver Cross Pop Star, Silver Cross Avia, Silver Cross Zest, and the Silver Cross Pop.
Silver Cross Jet Review
Silver Cross Jet latest version includes a comfier seat, stylish new look and wider wheels for better suspension. Its weight is 13 lbs, its folded dimensions are 21.6″ x 11.8″ x 7″, and it is suitable from birth to 33 lbs.
It can be wheeled like a small suitcase, and stowed as cabin baggage in the overhead lockers.
It’s super lightweight and agile with great suspension and without feeling flimsy, but maybe too light to be used as main buggy.
Because of its tiny fold feature, the basket is very small and disappointing.
At £275, the Jet is in the mid range of the compact stroller market. It is cheaper than the leading Babyzen Yoyo, which costs an extra £100 or so.
Nuna stroller review
Nuna is fast gaining a reputation for creating quality and stylish pushchairs that parents love.
It is a Pennsylvania-based importer of baby gear from China that has a design office in the Netherlands, which explains some of Nuna’s great stroller design.

As a more robust stroller that can expand into a double, the Nuna Demi Grow is priced $150 higher than the single Nuna MIXX. Both the Demi Grow and MIXX come with the stroller seat and chassis and a ring car seat adapter. The Demi Grow also includes a second set of post-style car seat adapters.
The Nuna MIXX Pushchair is suitable for use from birth to 44 lbs and includes everything you need to get going straight away and Demi grow stroller is suitable for 6 months to 33 lbs.

Cybex Priam review
Cybex Priam is a multi-function stroller with a one hand fold, reversible seat, all-wheel suspension and extendible canopy.
It has always been a luxury pushchair but the updates made to this latest model really do place it a cut above the rest. It is tall and wide, and it is very comfortable for both, newborns and toddlers. But beware, it’s certainly not a compact option for parents.
Cybex Priam is suitable for use from birth to 48.5 lbs.
Its weight is 27.8 lbs, and its folded dimensions are 37.4″ x 23.6″ x 15.7″ (LWH).

If you are looking to splurge some extra cash on a high-end stroller, no doubt you should check Strokke Xplory.
It is a beautiful and very well-made stroller with great fabrics and high-end details, and is sure to make a statement.
For newborns, Stokke recommends you buy the compatible carrycot. The seat provides plenty of support for babies once they are aged 6 months and up.
Its dimensions are 36.5 x 22.8 x 33.6 inches and the weight is 27 lbs.

The UPPAbaby Vista offers an incredibly smooth ride and easy maneuverability. It’s one of the largest single strollers on the market (it’s 26.5 inches wide), what makes it very stable and durable.
Its weight is 27 lbs (Frame + Seat) and its folded dimensions are 17.3″ L x 25.7″ W x 33.3″ H.
Bassinet suitable from birth up to 20 lbs or until infant can push up on hands and knees, whichever comes first. Toddler seat suitable from 3 months to 50 lbs.
Baby Jogger stroller review
The Baby Jogger brand is known for their high-quality strollers that are a favorite among parents for their ability to grow with families, tackle any terrain, are incredibly maneuverable, and easy to fold and store.
There are many factors that affect pricing – as a luxury baby gear brand, UPPAbaby is among the higher-priced options because of the quality of materials used, sophisticated product design, plus extended warranty and features.
The City Mini, City Mini GT, City Mini ZIP, City Lite, City Elite, and Summit X3 strollers have an increased recline angle to a near flat position to accommodate newborns. That means you can safely lay a baby in the fully reclined seat of these strollers without the use of a car seat adapter or bassinet.
Baby Jogger City Mini review
The Baby Jogger City Mini is a very popular choice among parents, thanks to its compact size that doesn’t skimp out on features and accessories. It is a good choice for urban families who want the size of an umbrella stroller, but with all the features of a full-size stroller.
Its weight is 16.8 lbs and it is suitable from birth to 50 lbs (approx. 3 years).
If you’re looking for a 3-wheeler that’s lightweight and easy to fold, look no further than the Baby Jogger City Mini.

One of the most popular car seat stroller combo is the Chicco Bravo Trio Travel System. This travel system is very easy and convenient to use thanks to many nice features like a large underseat basket, parent tray with cup holders, adjustable handlebar and one-hand fold.
It comes with the Chicco Key Fit 30 Infant Car Seat that can then be transformed into the stroller by placing it in the frame.
It designed for infants from 4 to 30 pounds and it works for kids up to 50 pounds, so this is an investment you’ll be able to use for years to come. It weighs 23 pounds and when folded, it is 16″ x 22″ x 28″ inches.
Babyzen yoyo review
When the Babyzen Yoyo was first launched in 2012, it became an instant hit. Marketed as the first buggy that folded so small you could pop it in the overhead locker of an airplane, it was compact and lightweight. Until today, it’s considered as one of the best travel strollers on the market.
