Want to throw a killer Halloween vampire party this year? You need the right decor and food. I’ve got you covered. I have all the inspiration you need to make your party the talk of the season.
Set the Scene With These Killer Vampire Party Decor Ideas
To make your vampire Halloween party unforgettable, you need to set the scene. It should feel like your guests just stepped into a vampire’s lair.
The right decor will create the mood you need for a killer party. Not sure where to start? Here’s some inspiration.
Set Up a Bloody Food Bar
Let guests serve themselves with a bloody food bar that’s a feast for the eyes and the stomach. Add a red satin tablecloth to the table, along with some black candelabras. Serve the food on goth-themed stands. If you have space on the wall, hang a vampire-themed or goth piece of art.

Decorate Your Windows with Spiderwebs, Bats and Candles
Transform your entire space into a spooky crypt for your vampire party. Hang spiderwebs around the window and add bats to set the mood. Don’t forget to place more candelabras (LED candles work best) nearby to set the scene.
You can also hang and drape black spiderwebs from the ceiling. This will create a crypt-like feeling in your space – perfect for a vampire-themed party.
Set the Table with Goth Tableware
No vampire Halloween party is complete without fancy table settings. The vintage Avon Cape Cod collection is perfect for this occasion. If you can’t get your hands on this set, this dark red dinnerware set is a great alternative.
To make your party authentic, go for real glassware and skip the plastic or paper plates.
Decorate Your Mantel
If you have a fireplace in your home, make it the focal point of your space and decorate it for the party. To recreate the look in this Pin, you’ll need:
- An ornate black frame for a mirror
- Black and red candles
- Red faux flowers
You can also add fake spiderwebs to the mantel if you don’t plan on using the fireplace. Try adding some LED candles to the fireplace itself to create a spooky atmosphere.
Create a Spooky Atmosphere with Wine Bottle Candles
Notice a theme here? Candles will create that low-light atmosphere that will make your party feel spooky. While there are tons of options out there, these wine bottle candles really match the theme.
You can create the dripping wax look by carefully melting black and red crayons along the edges of an old wine bottle. Add LED taper candles to the bottle opening and you have the perfect little piece of decor to add to your space.
Place them on tables, on the mantel or anywhere else you want.
Another option is to hang floating candles from the ceiling, along with spiderwebs to create a truly spooky space.
Decorate the Table with Roses and Candles
Even if you have a food bar at your vampire party, you can still set up a killer table where everyone can gather and mingle. Plus, you need a place to show off your tableware.
Along with place settings, you can add a centerpiece. A fancy candelabra would be perfect. Add a black table runner and rose arrangements to give the space that vampires feel. The flowers could be fresh or dead.
Feed Their Hunger With These Food & Drink Ideas
Setting the scene with spooky decor is just one piece of the puzzle when planning your party. You need to feed your guests, and there are plenty of vampire-themed foods you can serve. From bloody cake to blood bag cocktails, you’ll impress your guests with the foods and drinks on this list.
A Killer Cake
This cake is bloody and tasty. The best part? It’s easier than you think to make it. You can even use boxed cake mix if you want.
You’ll need to bake two vanilla cakes. Ice one cake with white frosting and place the second cake on top. Cut out a hole in the top cake, and add more frosting into the hole.
Finish icing both cakes and follow the steps in the video in the Pin above to create the edible blood that goes into the hole.
Once you’ve finished, stab holes in the top of the cake to splatter the “blood” everywhere.

Bloody Fondue
Blood red fondue looks and tastes amazing, which is what really matters at this year’s Halloween party. You’ll need a chocolate fondue fountain for this idea, and there are so many options to buy online or in stores.
A smaller model like this one will work if you plan to have 10 – 15 guests.
Larger ones are available, like this 18” model that can hold six pounds of chocolate. You’ll add red food coloring to the chocolate to make the rich, blood red chocolate that you see in your Pin. Place strawberries, pretzels or other goodies around the fountain so that people can dip them in the flowing blood.
A Cocktail Fountain You Can Sink Your Teeth Into
A vampire Halloween party isn’t complete without a cocktail fountain that drips blood – or a red cosmo – it’s your choice. You can purchase your tiered fountain online or use one that you already have.
Punch or cosmos are a nice touch, depending on the age of your crowd.
If you look closely at this Pin, the person has little vampire fangs on each tier, but you don’t want your guests to accidentally choke on them. Instead, place fake fangs around the table, like these ones.
Blood Bag Drinks
Who thinks of all of these awesome things? What a neat idea to make blood bags with tags that display a person’s name and the age of the blood. You can buy the blood bags on Amazon and they even have caps on them.
Fill the bag with something red, such as fruit juice or wine.
If you have a guest list of people who plan to attend your party, add each person’s individual name to one of the blood bags. You can also fill bags with jello or a cocktail if your guests consist primarily of adults.
With 20 bags included, this is a fun way to serve your drinks at this year’s Halloween party.
Vampire Charcuterie Board
Ghoul at Heart goes above and beyond with a vampire theme that will rival any movie scene you’ve ever seen. How amazing does all of this look? But we’re focusing on just the charcuterie board for now.
Start with a black serving board, like this one.
On top, you’ll add a variety of goodies that are red, black and blue. Blueberries and blackberries, along with pomegranate arils, add loads of flavor and color to your serving board. Meat provides more flavor, with cuts of salami and pepperoni, or any meat slices you like.
Finally, add dark-colored crackers of your choice and fill a white bowl in the middle with cranberries or beet slices that look like what every vampire loves: blood.
Bloody Sausage Bites
What’s a vampire party without eating something bloody? You’ll need Spanish chorizo sausages, garlic cloves, olive oil, honey, smoked paprika and black pepper and red wine. Start making these sausages by:
- Heating your olive oil in a frying pan
- Add your sausages and sauté a few times
- Cook until the chorizo browns on each side
- Add your honey, garlic and wine
- Sprinkle on the black pepper and smoked paprika
Bring the pan to a boil and wait until the liquid turns thick enough that it can glaze a spoon. Serve with toothpicks.
Vampire Bolognese
Serve dinner at your vampire Halloween party with this delish Bolognese with adorable toasts made in the shape of bats. And you’ll make what’s called squid ink pasta with ground beef, yellow onion, minced garlic, tomato sauce, tomato paste, dried basil, spices and Parmesan cheese.
And The Rose Table also shows you how to make the adorable bat toasts, which you’ll need a bat cookie cutter to recreate.
Vampire Kiss Cookies
How adorable are these blood-oozing cookies? You’ll make raspberry-filled cookies with two holes in each that look like vampire fangs bit into them. Start by preheating your oven to 325°F before creaming your butter and sugar in a bowl using a hand mixer.
Add in your egg, ½ teaspoon of vanilla and almond extract and beat until well-mixed.
In a separate bowl, combine your salt and flour before gradually adding in the creamed mixture and mixing into a dough. Transfer your dough to plastic wrap, form into a disk, wrap in plastic and then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Flour your surface, roll out the dough and cut into circles. Add your fangs, place jam in the middle and bake.

Vampire Hearts
Finally, complete your vampire party with these delish hearts. So, what is a vampire heart exactly?
- Dried black mission figs
- Fresh beets
- Rice paper wrappers
- Maple syrup
- Beet juice
You’ll pinch the bottom of your fig to make a heart shape, peel the beet and cut into thin slices that are wrapped around the figs. Secure them with rice paper, marinate in maple syrup and then air fry for 4 to 6 minutes. Serve on toast with cream cheese.
