You could use dried figs or dates if you don’t like apricots or to give your guests a variety of options.

This is a dish that will take less than 10 minutes to make.
2. Pumpkin Whipped Feta with Honey and Thyme

3. Butternut Squash Mini Tarts
These mini tarts are delicious and easy to make. If you follow the recipe to the T, it takes longer than 30 minutes. I recommend buying frozen roasted butternut squash to save time (roasting is what takes the longest).
The rest is simple. You’ll caramelize the onions and top puff pastry with your ingredients: onions, butternut squash and ricotta cheese. Bake and enjoy!
4. Best Christmas Stuffed Mushrooms
One of my favorite easy fall appetizers, and it takes just under 30 minutes to make. The longest part? Make the filling.
Once it’s ready, stuff each mushroom with your filling, and put it in the oven for 15 minutes.
We also like to add chopped walnuts or pomegranate seeds as garnish to add extra flavor and crunch. You can get as creative as you want with the garnishes.
5. Mini Pumpkin Cheeseballs
These cheeseballs are perfect for fall and couldn’t be easier to make. You’ll mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chives and spices together, and pop the mixture in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
Then, scoop out the mixture a tablespoon at a time and shape into a ball. Roll each ball in a bowl of finely shredded cheddar cheese. Use a toothpick to create vertical lines to make it look like pumpkins.
Add pretzel sticks to each cheeseball to complete the pumpkin shape.
6. Brie, Apple and Honey Crostini
Crostini is my go-to appetizer when I want something quick but delicious. For this recipe, you’ll need slices of baguette and a few other things:
- A jar of apple butter
- Brie
- Fresh apples
- Lemon juice
- Candied pecans
- Honey to drizzle over crostini
The slices of baguette with apple butter and brie only need to toast for 5-7 minutes. Then, you’re ready to assemble the rest of the ingredients.
If you don’t like brie, you could use cheddar or gouda instead.
7. Cranberry Brie Cups
These cranberry brie cups are addictive, and you won’t believe how easy they are to make. You’ll need crescent roll dough, a muffin pan, brie and cranberry sauce.
You’ll add your crescent dough into the muffin pan to create little cups. Then, add a cube of brie and top with a spoonful of cranberry sauce.
Bake until the dough is cooked and the cheese is melted. Serve while warm and gooey.
8. Fall Crostini
Easy fall appetizers like these are hard to pass up. They take just 15 minutes to make, and you’ll run out of them fast.
Each crostini is topped with melted Gouda cheese and homemade strawberry fig preserves.
If you don’t have time to make the preserves yourself, you can buy any fig jam or spread from the store.
Each slice of bread is slathered in a tasty flavored butter made with orange zest, ground chipotle chili pepper, olive oil and pepper.
Once cooked, you can add the cheese and broil it until it melts. Then, finish the dish with a drop of the preserves.
You can also serve fresh figs on the side.
9. Apple and White Cheddar Tart
Here’s a tasty appetizer that you can make in just 20-25 minutes with a few ingredients, like:

12. Feta-Parmesan Roasted Stuffed Dates
I love easy fall appetizers that are easy to make and perfectly sized. Each date is filled with a tasty mix of feta cheese, Parmesan cheese, herbs, walnuts and more.
Just hollow out your dates, stuff with the cheese mixture and bake.
13. Butternut Squash and Bacon Crostini
Place your baguette slices on a sheet pan, brush with olive oil and broil until golden. Add ricotta into a bowl and use a hand mixer to smooth it out. Add salt to taste before placing on the side to cook your bacon in a pan.
Cook butternut squash in the bacon fat until it’s caramelized.
Stir in your apple cider vinegar, spices and apple. Cook for an additional minute before assembling. Serve while it’s still warm and the flavors are at their peak.
14. Creamy Pumpkin Hummus
Ten minutes is all it takes to make this delish hummus. And it also adds a beautiful look to any table it’s sitting on. You’ll need 15 ounce cans of:
- Chickpeas
- Pumpkin puree
You’ll also need minced garlic, lemon, tahini, maple syrup, salt, pepper, cumin, cinnamon, olive oil and ice water. Blend your base of garlic, chickpeas and pumpkin together in a blender. Add in your lemon juice, cinnamon, cumin, salt, tahini and cayenne. Slowly add your olive oil and blend until it’s nice and creamy.
Smooth it out with your ice water and garnish with rosemary or pomegranate arils.
Serve with toasted pepitas, apples, carrots or pita chips.
15. Roasted Figs with Goat Cheese and Honey
Colorful and exploding with flavor, these roasted figs are so easy to make. You’ll need figs, goat cheese, olive oil, salt, pepper, crushed pistachios (100% optional) and some honey. Preheat your oven to broil while you remove the stems from your figs.
Cut an X into the fig and continue about two-thirds of the way down before placing it on a cookie sheet.
You’ll now stuff the figs with goat cheese and then brush your olive oil on top. Add your spices, and if you’re feeling adventurous, sprinkle your crushed pistachios on top.
Broil for 4 to 5 minutes before removing from the oven. Drizzle your honey on top and serve. You can eat these figs warm or cool, so feel free to make them ahead of time, too.
16. Apple Cinnamon Goat Cheese
Apple cinnamon goat cheese logs are the perfect easy fall appetizers and they’re sinfully good. You’ll unwrap your 8-ounce goat cheese log and let it sit out at room temperature while you move on to the next step.
In a medium bowl, combine:
- Lemon juice
- Apple slices
- Sugar
- Spices
Your goal is to coat all of the apple slices well and allow the mixture to sit for a while so that all of the flavors blend together. Finally, put your cheese log on a cutting board and then spoon on your mixture and gently push into the cheese.
Continue until you completely cover your cheese log and serve with crackers.
17. Cozy Roasted Butternut Squash Soup Shooters
Butternut squash soup shooters are delicious, and they’re perfect for fall when there’s a chill in the air and you want to warm up a bit. Naturally sweet and tasty, you’ll need:
- Butternut squash
- Onion
- Garlic
- Olive oil
- Vegetable broth
- Ground cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Cayenne pepper
- Heavy cream
- Salt and pepper
You’ll roast your squash with onions, garlic and olive oil on a baking sheet. Blend your soup ingredients together and then simmer over medium heat in a large pot. And don’t forget to serve these in little shot glasses.

18. Brie and Pear Tarts
Cook up 15 delicious tarts in just under 20 minutes with this delectable recipe. You’ll start by preheating your oven to 400℉ and line a jelly roll pan with some parchment paper. Place your tarts on the pan, about one-inch apart from each other.
Your tarts are mini phyllo tart shells that you buy in the store.
Each tart will have a piece of Brie, pear and some chopped pistachios in each. Fill all of your cups then add your thyme, drizzle honey on each and back for 8 to 12 minutes. You’ll know when your tarts are done because the cheese will be melted and turn golden.
