Who says Valentine’s Day is only reserved for romantic love? It’s the perfect holiday to celebrate the bond you have with your besties. And what better way to celebrate than with a fun party? To make your life easier, I’m sharing some amazing Galentine party ideas to inspire you.
Galentine Party Ideas
From themes to gifts and food, here are some ideas to make your Galentine party unforgettable.
Themes for Your Galentine Party
Not sure how to decorate for your party? Let these themes be your guide.
Love
An obvious theme but a fun one for you and your gals. Go all-out with the red, pink and heart theme for this one.
You can hang streamers on the wall with colorful red and pink balloons, just like this:
Try adding heart foil balloons into your decor mix, too.
Want to take the decor to every corner of your home? Try hanging heart streamers from the windows – like this:
You can get as creative as you want with this theme, or you can keep it simple with just balloons and red and pink table linens.
Cotton Candy Champagne
Cotton candy champagne is the ultimate Galentine’s Day cocktail, but it’s also the perfect choice for your party theme.
You can serve pink champagne (with and without cotton candy) and stick to a pink theme for your decor.
Here’s some great inspiration for your decor:
All you need are heart foil balloons, pink streamers, a Galentine’s Day banner and wall decorations.

Sweet Treats
Here’s a fun theme that everyone will love. Make it all about candy and sweets. Set up a candy and dessert bar with retro candy dishes, lollipops, chocolate-covered strawberries, cookies and more.
Look for vintage candy, too. Add a variety of things to cover all of your bases.
Don’t forget to include some regular food, too.
What about decorations? Stick to hot pink and red for your decor. Not sure where to start? Amazon has an awesome Galentine’s Day party decoration pack with everything you need to make your space look more festive.
You may even be able to find some candy-themed decorations as well.
Galentine’s Pizza Party
Everyone loves pizza. Why not have a pizza party? Everyone can build their own heart-shaped pie with whatever toppings they want.
It’s the perfect opportunity to chat and laugh while snacking and celebrating.
You can even give your friends cute Valentine’s Day-themed aprons to wear as you build your pizzas together.
Along with pizza-making, you can watch movies together and just chat. The most important thing is to spend time together.
Tea Party
A classic theme for Galentine’s Day. Host a pretty tea party. Ask everyone to dress up, and serve delicious little treats along with your tea.
I love the “Spill The Tea” balloons, which you can find on Amazon.
Add candlesticks to your centerpiece as well as your trays of desserts, a pink table runner, bowls filled with tea bags, a vase with flowers and place settings for each guest.
Look for a pretty tea set – like this one – to make the party even more special.
While you don’t necessarily need a dress code for a party like this, it can make the event feel a little more special.
Gifts to Share
Any list of Galentine party ideas should include gifts. Party favors are a fun way to say “thanks for coming” and celebrate your besties.
Use these ideas as inspiration.
Pink Candy and Beauty Baskets
One of my favorite party favor ideas for a Galentine’s Day party. It’s not too over the top, but it’s filled with thoughtful things, like:
- A small bottle of Fentimans rose lemonade
- Valentine Hershey’s Kisses
- Candy necklaces
- Strawberry Pocky
- A small heart-shaped box of chocolates
- A few beauty items
Put all of these goodies in a heart-shaped basket. Feel free to customize your basket’s contents however you want.
You can add just chocolate bars instead of candy necklaces. Or you can swap out the lemonade for a small bottle of bubbly.
I like the idea of adding cozy socks or some face masks into the mix to encourage your besties to indulge in some personal care.
Mini Bottles of Bubbly
Give your gals mini bottles of bubbly as gifts and a thank-you for coming. You can find wine bottle labels on Amazon that you can use to make your favors even more adorable.
You can pair these with small bags of candy or just on their own.
Plants
Do your friends love plants? Why not gift them small potted succulents? You can even add a cute sign, like the one above, that says “Plant One on Me.”
Your plant gift will always be a reminder of your party and the fun times you shared.
Beauty Gift Bags
Want to go all-out with your gift bags? Pack them with fun items you know they’ll love like:
- Bags of Hershey’s Kisses
- EOS chapstick
- A bottle of Prosecco
- A cozy pair of socks
- Packs of gum
- Cookies
- A scented candle
- Touchland hand sanitizer spray
- Beauty products
- More candy
You can pack whatever you want into your gift bags. Choose items that you know your friends will love.
Thoughtful Gift Bags
You don’t have to spend a fortune on your favors. This Pinner shares their Galentine’s Day favor bag that costs just $5 each.
Fill it with thoughtful things, like:
- Eye masks
- Bath bombs
- Under-eye masks
- Bags of candy
You don’t have to go crazy. Just add a few items that you know your friends will love and use.
Gift Mugs
How adorable are these gift mugs? You can make your own to give away as favors or gifts for your friends.
Start with Valentine’s Day-themed mugs (here are some cute ones). Fill them with things like peel-off masks, eye masks, makeup sponges, beauty products, scrunchies and chocolate candy heart lollipops.
You can customize this favor however you want.
For example, you can add a Starbucks gift card or ditch the beauty items and just stick to candy or treats. Just make sure you choose items that your friends will actually love.

Delicious Food to Serve
What’s the best part of this list of Galentine party ideas? The food! Here’s some inspiration for your gathering.
Heart-Shaped Pizza
Pizza is a classic party food, but don’t just order out. Grab some pizza dough (you can find it in most grocery stores), pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese to make your own heart-shaped pizzas.
Don’t forget to buy a mix of toppings so that your friends can customize their pizzas.
I recommend using a heart-shaped cookie cutter to make your pizzas the perfect shape.
Dessert Board
Valentine’s Day is all about sweets and treats, so it only makes sense to have a dessert board. You can add whatever you want:
- Cookies
- Chocolate bars
- Graham crackers
- Marshmallows
- Wafers
- A variety of candies
- Licorice
You can even add bowls of chocolate sauce and peanut butter to dip your cookies and other items in.
Feel free to get creative with your board. Choose whatever sweets you want.

Rose Cocktails
Planning to serve some cocktails? Why not go with something unique, like rose water drinks? Insanely Good Recipes has some wonderful recipes to try.
The Rose Lemon Spritzer is my favorite because it’s such a pretty (and tasty) drink. You can serve your cocktails on pretty trays filled with rose petals. Try adding a few petals to your drinks to add even more flavor and color.
You can find bottles of rose water on Amazon.
Strawberry Brownie Kebabs
How adorable are these kebabs? They’re so easy to make, too. Just thread strawberries, brownie bites and marshmallows onto skewers. Top with a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
You can make your own brownie bites from scratch, or buy them from the store.
I highly recommend using strawberry marshmallows to keep with the Galentine’s theme.
Pink Pasta Salad
Want to keep your guests full and satisfied? Try serving these cute cups of pink pasta salad.
To make the noodles pink, you can cook them in beet juice or pink food coloring.
I prefer bowtie pasta for this type of recipe because it absorbs the dressing really well.
Apart from the pasta, you’ll also need fresh basil, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella pearls. Feel free to add whatever other ingredients you want, like green onions or roasted red peppers.
Pink Charcuterie Board
This charcuterie board is gorgeous and it’s packed with tasty ingredients, like:
- Macarons
- Salami roses
- Pink chocolate
- Slices of prosciutto
- Specialty cheeses
You can even add paper or real hearts to your display. Feel free to add or remove whatever ingredients you want from your board.
Valentine’s Day Pink Popcorn
Here’s a tasty snack you can serve that everyone will love. It’s really easy to make, too. Just melt pink candy melts over a bowl of popcorn. Allow the chocolate to set and add sprinkles.
The Takeaway
Use these Galentine party ideas as inspiration to plan your own unforgettable celebration with your girls.
Don’t forget to plan out your invitations and have a few activities in mind. Even something as simple as making pizza and binge-watching movies creates lasting memories.
